the whole life practice

_Ecology of practices

Our “Ecology of Practices” is a set of dynamic, embodied group activities designed to help young people cultivate deeper connections and explore important aspects of their lives through both physical and emotional engagement. Through these practices, they also learn new, healthy habits that can be seamlessly integrated into their daily lives.

_Key Aspects of Our Ecology of Practices

  • A safe space to talk about trauma without shame.

  • An opportunity to explore addictive behaviors, relationships, desires, and ambition in healthy ways.

  • A supportive community that values vulnerability, strength, and stability.

  • A challenging, collaborative environment: Physical activities like basketball, jiu-jitsu, boxing, and cold plunges push participants to their limits, fostering both mental and physical resilience. Through competition and teamwork, they are challenged and supported to grow together, building strength, focus, and discipline.

_Individual Guides

Our individual guides, composed of therapists and coaches work closely with clients to help them expand their capacity to support themselves and be supported by others. These core competencies-learning to support oneself and being receptive to support- become fundamental as clients navigate developmental transitions. The guide serves as a trusted mentor, helping clients achieve both developmental and goal-oriented milestones, while providing steady guidance and mentorship throughout their journey.

_Key Aspects

  • Guides provide individualized mentorship and therapeutic support, helping clients develop self-awareness and self-acceptance.
  • Expanding Capacity: Focus on building clients’ ability to support themselves and be receptive to support from others, fostering both autonomy and community connection.
  • Developmental Guidance: Assist clients in navigating key developmental transitions, whether related to emotional growth, behavioral change, or goal achievement.
  • Goal-Oriented Structure: Use a structured approach to set and achieve developmental milestones, ensuring clients have a clear path forward while feeling supported and understood.
  • Trusted Mentorship: Serve as consistent mentors, providing steady guidance and a reliable presence for clients to lean on as they progress through their therapeutic journey.

_antedote arc

antedote guides act as mentors, models, teachers and supports to groups of young men we call “crews.”

day to day, this looks like facilitating a range of engaging play and learning experiences like cold plunges.

_the five dimensions of wholeness

we noticed the immense difficulties young people have engaging with traditional treatment approaches, resulting in shockingly low success rates.

we built antedote to empower our members to understand and work through stuckness in a stimulating, dynamic environment, initiating them into an intentioned collective, and developing a framework to support lives of wholeness for themselves and their families.

_comfort in complexity

our whole life practice takes place during two-hour sessions, three to five days a week.

we leverage the science of play and group-based therapies to support our members’ paths to connection and purpose.

_the lab

The Lab is where growth meets grit. Equal parts club, hangout, and athletic training ground, it’s designed to be the ultimate playground for body and mind. With jiu-jitsu, boxing, a basketball court, cold plunge, sauna, lounge, and a fully stocked coffee bar, it’s more than a facility—it’s a vibe. Whether pushing limits on the mat or kicking back with a cold brew (coffee, lol), The Lab is where you find flow, connect with peers, and redefine what growth can look like.
